NMM's prices for the two Categories of service are:
Category 1: Basic and detailed professionally prepared estimates for building works
The Basic Estimate costs $450 - $950 + GST depending on the complexity of the project. A stand-alone single or double storey residential dwelling with 4 bedrooms is considered 'low-end' of complexity. A duplex or triplex project with underground parking is considered 'high-end' of complexity.
The Detailed Estimate costs $850 - $1900 + GST. The Detailed estimate includes an activity breakdown, a materials breakdown and a trade breakdown which will assist the Builder to negotiate optimal prices with Suppliers and Subcontractors leading to a realistic Contract Sum with a guaranteed margin.
The turnaround time for a Basic Estimate is 2 working days while the turnaround time for a Detailed Estimate is 3-5 working days.
Category 2: The Packaged service usually provided by Estimators & Contract Administrators.
A Packaged Service on-site and off-site covers the services usually provided by Estimators & Contract Administrators. The Packaged Service monthly prices are negotiable and are based on the Client's turnover and workload. An Estimator / Contract Administrator (FTE) for a Building Contractor with a turnover of $6m per annum will cost approximately $130k per annum. On that basis, our hourly rate for Category 2 services will be in the order of $130 - $150 per hour + GST for 40 hours of input the week. However, we place no limitations on off-site work.
